Filing a Nomination
Candidates must fill out the Nomination Form and file it with the Municipal Clerk. Nomination papers and candidate packages will be available online and can be picked up at the Township Office (6332 Nauvoo Road, Watford, ON) on May 1, 2018. Candidates can begin filing their Nomination Papers on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.
Nomination Papers must be filed by the candidate in-person at the Municipal Office. All forms must have original signatures and they may not be submitted electronically. The following are needed to complete the filing:
- Completed Nomination Form (Form 1)
- Completed Declaration of Qualification - Council
- Completed Freedom of Information Release
- Filing fee; and
- Proof of Identity.
Mayor - $200
Councillor - $100
Candidates are entitled to a refund of their filing fee if they submit their campaign financial statement by the deadline.
