AMENDED NOTICE OF OPEN HOUSE AND PUBLIC MEETING

CONCERNING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN

 

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Warwick will hold:

  1. A Public Open House on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Watford Arena (Entry Foyer), 61 Centennial Ave, Watford, and

  2. AMENDED DATE AND TIME: A Public Meeting on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Warwick Community Centre, 7074 Egremont Road

THE PURPOSE of the Open House meeting is to provide information and obtain comments on policy and programs being proposed through the Township of Warwick Community Improvement Plan (CIP), and

 

THE PURPOSE of the Public Meeting is to amend the existing policy and programs being proposed through the Township of Warwick Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The Community Improvement Plan would allow the Township of Warwick to provide for a range of financial incentive programs including: building accessibility grants, structural improvement grants, permit fee grants and tax increment-equivalent grants to encourage the rehabilitation and improvement of private commercial/industrial buildings within the Township of Warwick.

 

ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the Community Improvement Plan.
IF YOU WISH to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Community Improvement Plan, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Township of Warwick.
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS in respect of the proposed Community Improvement Plan can be made to the Clerk of the Township of Warwick.

 

IF A PERSON or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of the Township of Warwick to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Warwick before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Warwick before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

 

No Key Map has been provided as the proposed Community Improvement Plan (CIP) would apply to various lands within the Township of Warwick.
